NEW: Protection Against Carding Attacks

Doubleknot has enabled a new security feature to protect your organization against carding attacks. In a carding attack, the attacker attempts to authorize stolen credit card numbers by automatically submitting the credentials for payment, usually for a small amount. If a transaction is completed, the attackers know that they have a credit card number and associated information that works.

To protect our customers, Doubleknot monitors transactions to identify possible carding attacks. When any suspicious activity is identified, the payment page will automatically display a Captcha that requires the person submitting the credit card to identify all photographs in a set that display similar characteristics.

Because this task can only be completed by a human, the carding attack is interrupted and the attackers can no longer automate the entry of credentials. After the attack ends, the Captcha will no longer be displayed on the payment page.
